I do recommend LAANE I had an amazing experience with both of me mentors. I was part of the Grocery Store Campaign that just recently began this year and its really growing. My mentor was Ariana Valle but she does not work there anymore because she is attending Graduate School. My other mentor her name is Aiha she is still working at LAANE. The people are so nice and my mentor work really hard around there schedules and ours to create projects and help out in the office. Since the campaign recently started our main focus was on survey entry, and community outreach, going to city hall meeting politicians on daily basis to get a food law requiring grocery stores to be build within low income communities abolishing the food gaps in impoverish communities such as South LA, East LA and some of San Bernardino communities. I really enjoy working at LAANE and have no regrets. They also have other different campaigns that they are working I got involve in some of them like the Hotel Workers Unions. Met a lot of amazing students and adults while interning at LAANE and it will be great if we have more South LA residents representing one issue was a lot of the communities members are from East LA or the San Bernardino area.
